在上面的報(bào)道中，inaugural issue就是“創(chuàng)刊號(hào)”。這里的issue指“(報(bào)刊、雜志的)一期，期號(hào)”，除這里提到的inaugural issue以外，還有為某一事件發(fā)布的special issue(特刊)。Inaugural在這里的意思是“首次的，創(chuàng)立的”，例如：the inaugural run of the new train(新型列車的首次行駛)。Inaugural還可以表示“開(kāi)幕的，成立的”或“就職的，就任的”，例如： The president gave an inaugural speech when he took office。(總統(tǒng)上任時(shí)發(fā)表就職演說(shuō)。)
