1. hen母雞

母雞就是雞媽媽。她的主要工作就是下蛋和孵小雞，當然還要照顧雞寶寶們。

(1). The chickens gathered under the hen. 小雞們聚集在母雞身體下面。

(2). My hens laid five eggs last night. 我的雞昨天夜里下了五顆蛋。

(3). A hen can lay one or two eggs one day. 一只母雞一天可以下一到兩顆蛋。

2. rooster/ cock 公雞

Some people keep a rooster as a pet. 有人把公雞當寵物養。

3. chick/ chicken 小雞

(1). These chicks are newly hatched by the hen. 這些小雞剛被母雞孵化出來。

(2). chicken有多種意思：1. 小雞 2. 雞肉 3. 雞(統稱)

4. egg 雞蛋

(1)蛋清 egg white

(2)蛋黃 yolk (egg yellow)

(3)煮雞蛋 boiled(形容詞) eggs / boil(動詞) an egg

(4)炒雞蛋 scrambled(形容詞) eggs / scramble(動詞) an egg

(5)煎雞蛋 fried(形容詞) eggs / fry(動詞) an egg

(6) 蒸雞蛋 steamed(形容詞) eggs/ steam(動詞) an egg
