今天是咱們的傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日元宵節(jié)。通常外國(guó)人對(duì)咱們這種傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日都比較好奇，和老外聊到元宵節(jié)的時(shí)候，我們可以說(shuō)什么呢？

元宵節(jié)的英文是Lantern Festival。因?yàn)檎率迨且荒曛械谝粋€(gè)月圓之夜，所以叫元宵。

The 15th day of the 1st lunar month is the Chinese Lantern Festival because the first lunar monthis called yuan-month and in the ancient times people called night Xiao. The 15th day is the first night to see a full moon. So the day is also called Yuan Xiao Festival in China.

說(shuō)完了起源，咱們說(shuō)說(shuō)習(xí)俗，元宵節(jié)我們做什么呢？我們賞花燈（colorful lanterns）、猜燈謎（solve the puzzles）、吃元宵（yuanxiao，glutinousrice ball）。

元宵有甜的也有咸的，甜的通常會(huì)用糖（sugar）、胡桃（Walnuts）, 芝麻（sesame）,桂花（osmanthus flowers）, 玫瑰（rose petals）、棗泥（jujube paste）等東西做餡. 咸的就可能會(huì)用肉餡（mincedmeat）或者蔬菜做餡了。

青玉案·元夕

東風(fēng)夜放花千樹(shù)，

更吹落，星如雨。
