每逢佳節胖三斤的擔憂還沒走遠，很多人就要面對“每逢佳節被相親”了，平時在外沒時間，一到過節相親檔期扎堆，都快成流水化作業了。

不少人覺得相親是中國特色，其實不是，外國人也相親，他們稱之為blind date。

兩個陌生人被兩者的熟人牽線搭橋，進行約會，這就是相親。

A blind date is a social engagement between two people who have not previously met, usually arranged by a mutual acquaintance.

而之所以被稱為blind date，是因為參與相親的人從來沒見過對方。而blind有“盲目接受”的意思。

不僅如此，以外國人開放的心態，他們對相親的定義非常簡單直接：

持續兩個小時左右，為結婚而進行。

The date is usually two hours or less;it is meant to create a marriage.

而且相親的關鍵人物是牽線人，畢竟這是個blind date，雙方都沒見過對方嘛~
