共同點(diǎn)1：兩者均可表示“幾乎”、“差不多”，有時(shí)可換用：

It’s almost [nearly] impossible. 那幾乎是不可能的。

It’s almost [nearly]10 o’clock. 差不多10點(diǎn)鐘了。

He is almost [nearly] as tall as her. 他差不多與她一樣高。

Almost [Nearly] all the students passed the exam. 差不多所有的學(xué)生都通過了考試。

【注】?jī)烧唠m可互換，但有時(shí)almost比nearly表示更接近的程度。

區(qū)別1：用于 any 以及 no, none, nobody, nothing, never 等否定詞前，可用almost，但不能用 nearly：

Almost any man can do it. 幾乎任何人都會(huì)做。

He has almost no money. 他幾乎沒錢。

區(qū)別2. nearly 前可用 very, pretty, not 等詞修飾，但 almost 之前不能用這些詞：

It’s not nearly so difficult as you think. 這遠(yuǎn)不像你想象的那么難
