致他的嬌羞女友

馬維爾的《致他的嬌羞的女友》之所以能從眾多同類主題的詩(shī)歌中脫穎而出，一個(gè)重要原因就是他在詩(shī)中使用了邏輯中的三段論的推理和說(shuō)理方式，以故為新。以哲理入詩(shī)是玄學(xué)派詩(shī)歌的另一顯著特點(diǎn)。“詩(shī)雖不是討論哲學(xué)和宣傳宗教的工具，但是它的后面如果沒有哲學(xué)和宗教就不易達(dá)到深廣的境界。”

安德魯·馬維爾(Andrew Marvell, 1621―1678)是17世紀(jì)英國(guó)著名的玄學(xué)派詩(shī)人。然而，與其他玄學(xué)派詩(shī)人不同的是，馬維爾被一些批評(píng)家看作是一位承前啟后的詩(shī)人。他不但繼承了伊麗莎白時(shí)代愛情詩(shī)中的浪漫主義傳統(tǒng)，成為一位具有浪漫主義氣質(zhì)的詩(shī)人，而且開啟了18世紀(jì)古典主義的“理性時(shí)代”。古典派詩(shī)人偏重意象的完整優(yōu)美，喜以哲理入詩(shī);浪漫派詩(shī)人則偏重情感的自然流露。二者各有偏重，前者重形式，而后者則重實(shí)質(zhì)。在馬維爾的詩(shī)中，常能體現(xiàn)二者的完美結(jié)合，理性令他的詩(shī)寓意深刻，浪漫則使他的詩(shī)情境優(yōu)美。
